Art Bot is an Arduino robot designed to produce a unique piece of abstract art from input text. Art Bot acts in partnership with the user as any pair of artists might. In exchange for the user providing input text and a paint palette, the robot interprets their words into a painting. This compromise removes any pressure a user might feel to paint 'well' or 'correctly' represent the meaning of their text, while also providing Art Bot's idle painting with meaning. Both can claim shared artistic ownership of any piece produced due to the collaborative nature.
Each piece of art is made by Art Bot converting the input string into driving commands then executing them on a canvas. As Artbot drives the brush and wheels through paint it creates curves and patterns influenced by the user's input text.
